Ware's first riverside beer festival 11 JULY 2014

New riverside real ale festival needs your help this weekend in bid to raise over £1000 for good causes.

The Town's long historical association with beer making is being put to good use at the Beer Festival which is organised for the first time in conjunction with the Ware Festival Committee at Fletchers Lea in the Priory grounds on Saturday 12 July.

Ware Town Carnival Gallery 6 JULY 2014

The month long Ware Festival started this weekend with the Boat Parade on the river followed by the Town Carnival procession through the High Street.

Ware Online were there with camera in hand and captured the fun in the sun.

Ware Festival 2014: Carnival Weekend 29 July 2014

The 2014 Ware Festival begins on Saturday (5 July) with Carnival Day and continues right through the month, culminating with the famous Rock in the Priory.

The theme for Ware Festival 2014 is 'Cartoons and Superheroes'.

The festivities start down by the riverside on Friday (4 July) when members of the Lea & Stort Inland Waterways Association arrive in Ware with their flotilla of boats.

Calling all Cars, and Musicians: Music & Motors 2014 Needs You 18 JUNE 2014

Now in its sixth year, Music & Motors, featuring live music and a small classic vehicle show, takes place in Tudor Square in the heart of Ware, this year on Saturday 16 August 2014 in the afternoon.

This relaxed, community organised event combines a display of interesting cars, bikes and usually some VW Camper Vans with music provided by local performers and you too can be involved.

Gallery: Ware's First Food Festival 28 MAY 2014

Ware Town Council hosted their first Food Festival Market in Tudor Square on Bank Holiday Monday (26) where local traders gathered to show off and sell their ‘wares’ or offer food tastings and demonstrations.

Community Cinema: Wondrous Oblivion 22 MAY 2014

Ware Arts Centre is screening its next movie to the public. The film, "Wondrous Oblivion" will be shown on Friday 23 May 2014.

It's strictly ticket only so early booking is necessary to secure a seat.

Wondrous Oblivion is a memorable social drama, sweet-natured and backed by Sam Smith’s appealing performance, makes for enjoyable viewing.

Line up for Rock in the Priory 2014 announced 19 MAY 2014

Ware Town Council & Hertfordshire College of Music are delighted to announce the line up for Rock in the Priory 2014.

The well established RiTP Showcase took place in Fletcher’s Lea over the weekend 25-27 April but this year there was a twist.

Roebuck Hotel closed and boarded-up 12 MAY 2014

This week, the Roebuck Hotel in Baldock Street, Ware, has finally closed down, a year after a planning application was submitted to demolish the hotel and build 14 new homes on the site.

The windows have been boarded up as the new owners decided that the business was no longer economically viable.

After much deliberation the following bands are through to the Showcase Gigs which take place in Fletcher’s Lea at Ware Priory over the weekend 25th April.

Arts & Crafts Market at Ware Arts Centre 3 APRIL 2014

Artisans of Ware are holding their monthly arts and crafts market this Sunday (6 April), bringing the talented artisans from Ware and the surrounding area, together with customers who appreciate unique and hand-made wares not usually found in the shops.

The market is held in the historic Ware Arts Centre in Kibes Lane which offers free parking right outside the door. The market opens at 12 noon and runs through to 4.00pm.
