Online future as Kards & Krafts shop closes
|Online future as Kards & Krafts Closes|
After 11 years of trading from their shop in Baldock Street, Kards & Krafts will cease trading today (20 April 2016).
After evaluating the business, the retail side was no longer cost effective.
As a small independent trader, they were unable to compete with the larger chains and increasing overheads.
Kards & Krafts moved from Becketts Walk in 2006 to the Bladock Street shop that was previously occupied by the Ware Bookshop that closed earlier in the year.
Regular customers need not worry though because owner Karen Jordan will be continuing with their popular craft workshops and selling craft goods online.
The workshops will now be held opposite at “Niko Browns Gallery” at 27A Baldock Street.
