Last year at Rock in the Priory

Ware's well established one-day Music Festival, Rock in The Priory, will take place in the Priory Grounds on Sunday, July 23rd, 12.00 noon-8.00pm.

Following a successful showcase in 2005 which paved the way for a fantastic day’s entertainment, Ware Town Council, in conjunction with Playsomething (now under new ownership, formerly known as Make Music) will once again stage a Showcase. Six of the slots on July 23rd are up for grabs. Playsomething and Ware Town Council are keen to foster young talent and there will be one slot at Rock in The Priory for an under-16s band. So we are asking all local talent to send, or drop in personally, their demo cds/tapes to Playsomething, 31 Baldock Street, Ware, SG12 9DH, telephone 01920 460646, before the closing date of Friday, March 31st. From all entries received, twelve bands will be chosen to appear in a Showcase and all successful bands will be informed by April 7th. The Showcase will take place on Saturday & Sunday 22nd & 23rd April, 2006, in the Priory Hall, Ware Priory. Entry to the Showcase, sponsored by www.playsomething.co.uk, will be by invitation only.
