Ware Joggers - show some sense and manners

Post by JCB »

If anyone is a member of the Ware Joggers would they please convey to the rest of your group the stupidity of running not just running in the road when there is pavement on either side but groups of you weaving across the road. Not only were you irresponsible but you were completely discourteous to others as well.

Sadly this is not the first occasion where I have witnessed the object failure to consider others and apparent divine right to dominate the highway/pathway of wherever you may be. Is it too much to ask for the Ware Joggers to show some thought and consideration for those pedestrians and road users who have the misfortune to come across them?

Just as bad as our Lycra clad friends, blocking the road 2 or 3 abreast on their bicycles....

Cycling 2 abreast is not only perfectly legal but becoming more and more the recommended option, why?
because of the dangerous behaviour of car drivers.

Horse riders are also advised to do the same - for the same reason.

Maybe time for everyone to read the Highway Code; Motorists included. Pedestrians should use the pavement where there is one. Cyclists and Horse riders should ride single file on busy or narrow roads and on bends.

Read the Highway Code!

Next you'll be expecting drivers to stop at red lights in the High St.

I guess I owe all those cyclists my apologies. I always thought 'two abreast' was always disallowed. I stand corrected after reading the highway code. I believe also that al motorists should have a command of the highway code? I am going to refresh!!
