Well, I've seen the lights tonight and had a good look and I agree, they are a little dim. I'll send an email to the town council and let you all know what they say.

Funny enough, I saw them yesterday at 8pm and 10pm (Amwell End) and thought they looked alright. Even the blue lanterns looked good to me.

They are certainly less bright (if not dimmer...) and an interesting number of them are not working. Anyone doing bulb replacements?

That's the whole theory behind low energy bulbs.
They cost more fail much quicker and then use zero energy while you save up for the replacement.
Works on all fronts except producing light..

Which is also a positive as there is no light pollution either.
