Westcliff RFC v Hertford RFC

Way back in September of last year Westcliff visited Hoe Lane and were given a thumping by Hertford 57 -12 and as at that time Hertford were still finding their form the trip to Westcliff was to be interesting and telling if both side had improved. It was a steady start with Hertford taking the lead in the eighth minute which they would not relinquish and half time came up 12 -3 to the visitors. The second half was much the same as the first with Hertford progressing well and Westliff still adding to their score but by full time Hertford had shown their advantage and finished 36 - 13 winners. This keeps Hertford in fifth place just the single point behind East Grinstead and ten off the top of the table.
Next week brings a home game against East Grinstead and as just said the single point separates them but back in October the away game EG's came out on top by a good margin of 43 - 20 so there are scores to settle and the books to be balanced so if you have been considering attending a game this could be the one.
