Yes, we had the Chinooks circling over High Cross - no idea what it was about...

And the fine sight of a Dakota over Ware this afternoon on its way down to the VJ 70 flypast.

Did anyone see the fopur engine aeroplane that flew southwards over Ware about 12:00 today. It was heading towards Stanstead Abbots, perhaps going to North Weald?, rather than towards central London. If anyone did see it do they know what it was?

Didn't see it myself as I was in a traffic jam returning from a wet week in Weymouth, but I would guess it was the Lancaster from the description.

It was the Sally B (B-17 Flying Fortress) based at Duxford.
I missed it as I was doing teh Chilli festival in Benington - terrific fun.
I'm sure RichardH will post a supporting image once he's stopped practicing for the Musical Mystery Tour

Update: they've just changed the routing - missing Ware now.

There's a possibility of seeing the Vulcan fly just to the east of Ware this afternoon around 15:30. The planned route here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewe ... oYtEa6LGz0
