Heard the John Gilpin is closing on Friday. If true, sad news that yet another Ware pub is going.

I heard this news a short while ago from a friend. It was mentioned on Spotted in Ware website, but it all seems a bit vague, so I'm not 100% convinced. No original source of info anywhere. Certainly hope it isn't true, would be very sad. Living nearby for past 20 years I think it would be a great shame for the community.

I hope it is wrong to from the business point of view, but also it's sort of the start of Ware (at that end of town) for me and I'm due to buy tea there for a well known tracker who's coming in to talk to the Cubs at Great Amwell next week!
