If there are will we see Mark Prisk? He said in last week's Mercury (I didn't buy it, honest, just saw it in a take away) that he will be getting out to see as many people as possible during the campaign. The Mercury almost seemed like a Tory publication. A huge picture of Tory on the front page and then a double page spread with the same photograph on the inside. There was a tiny picture of the Labour candidate.

The Mercury is owned by Trinity Mirror, publishers of the Daily Mirror.

Interest post on Facebook today from 'Walking the Breadline'. How true it is I don't know but most of the over 65's will vote so do those young people who don't vote want their future's decided by the over 65's!?

Well younger votes have been even further rigged by the changes to Student voting.
Previously Students could remain registered to their normal home address re voting.

But this government changed it so they are removed from their "home" address and have to register at their uni address.
Seeing as most unit students will have 3 or more address at uni as they move from halls to shared accommodation etc. It effectively means its much harder for them to remain registered and therefore able to vote.
A clever way to reduce a section of the voting public who by and large won't support the current government.

We can change address and check details online here in NZ is that not possible there?
The Kiwi's go to the polls in September while we are in the UK and we'll be voting online, who said that New Zealand was a land in the past!

Yes its not difficult here.

https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

Last day to do it today.

But it will still ensure thousands won't realise they had to till its too late.
They will just assume they are still registered at their "home" address as they always used to be.
