You're insinuating that its not going to happen in the future do you more information to back that up?

You can always make your own in small quantities, for immediate use.

Not a recommendation (because I am sure it's dangerous  ) but pointing out the law from only 10 years ago.

They want to build 3000 homes on the greenbelt, from Wodson right round to Widbury Hill.
The fields will be gone.

As Craig has said.
To be more precise the firework field and surrounding fields are designated as Phase 2 of the District Plan along with an area over Widbury Hill way. Phase 2 is for 1000 houses (600 in the firework field area) to be build at 200 per year.

The draft District Plan has not yet been adopted. Even if and when it is, it will be up to a developer to submit a planning application and get approval, which for 3000 homes is a big project. The fireworks are safe for the foreseeable future.

Doesn't do to be optimistic about it Steve. If it's to be stopped it will have to be fought every step of the way. The planning committee locally have it in for Ware, anything will be done for hertford or Stortford and if that means destroying the character of Ware, flooding the schools and overwhelming medical and other services by increasing its size by 60%+ in a few years, then they'll do that. Our supposed representatives are for the most part useless in the face of the bigger Tory party, and now we are a one party state we have little chance of stopping the plan or the building of New Ware.

If the new homes meant there'd be no more fireworks, I'd be 100% for it.

Interesting!
This was a topic when I left Ware in 2010 and I thought it had lost its way as a lot of these large schemes do, I hope for one that it does not happen as it would change Ware completely and much of its character would go as that character only comes with a smaller community. I would rather have a few fireworks once a year than a large new housing estate VicarageRoader I would have thought that if you are still in Vicarage Road it wouldn't affect you much and it is a charity fund raiser.
I think I shall have to come and check out the town to see what's been going on!
