Ware Community Voice: ARC

East Herts Council continues with its community out reach programme. This month, representatives from East Herts Council explain the new refuse and recycling scheme, Alternate Refuse Collection (ARC)?

The Community Voice meeting will be on Thursday 1st October at 7.30pm in the Priory Hall in Ware. Residents are invited to come and find out about the new scheme and how it will benefit them.

The council will be introducing ARC to enable residents of East Hertfordshire to recycle more materials so that they can reduce the amount of waste that is sent to landfill. This will make it easier to keep the district green and reduce the burden of landfill taxes.

Chairman of the Ware Area Community Voice meeting, Cllr Jeanette Taylor said: "ARC will make it much easier for us all to recycle more from the kerbside. It is really important that we all do more to protect the environment and this scheme is a positive step forward to doing exactly that".

"Come along to the Community Voice meeting and find out about how the scheme will work and ask us any questions that you have."
