Re: Hoddesdon dump

Hoddesdon is at least open - which is a big advantage over the Ware dump. And, despite the fact it's very compact, I've never had problems getting in.

Re: travel card/oyster

I can't pretend to understand these rail fares! This morning I checked on the National Rail website and 2 returns with a disabled rail card cost less than £40.00 which makes it cheaper than an oyster. I checked on the Oyster website and that quoted a more expensive fare with the disabled rail card!...

Re: travel card/oyster

Ware to King's Cross Oyster single adult fare : £11.20 (Peak - Monday to Friday from 0630 to 0930), £8.60 (Off-peak) National Raid fare : £13.80 (Any time) Of course, a lot changes if you want a return, or if you have a rail card. You can search either of the above links for your circumstances, or p...

Er, surely there's the alternative of parking elsewhere? If a road is too narrow to park legally, then it's too narrow to park!

They've done a reasonable job at the bottom of Hampden Hill, but there's another one just waiting to emerge.

I don't give the repair at the top of Jeffries Road long, though...

Re: Off roading in Ware

The cold snaps in Feb/Mar have done nothing for our roads.

If you're into caving, take a look at the pothole in Cromwell Road by Hampden Hill - I'd love to tell you how deep it is, but I've never actually managed to see all the way to the bottom...

Re: ASDA at last but don't forget the local shops.

Nice result! Well done to any who brought this to EHDC's attention. Reminds me of when Tesco took over the big car park and promised to allow 3 hours parking, and then snuck it down to 2, before being made to go back to 3. It just goes to show that it's always worth reporting problems rather than si...

Re: Off roading in Ware

It's clearly that time of year when roads are being fixed - money to be spent before end of financial year... After years of being a lunar landscape, the speed table in Bowling Road is now a thing of joy, which can be navigated without losing fillings. Sadly, there's plenty more still to be done. Ke...
