My guess would be its a North American Harvard, used as a trainer by the RAF during WW11 and as a double for Zero's in several films, has the radial engine and a long canopy so not too disimilar.

For anyone wishing to travel between Ware( or Hertford!) and London be warned, the service is currently suspended due to overhead line damage at Broxbourne. Passengers are advised not to travel till AFTER 20:00 :o . No Replacement buses, at least at present . :cry: :cry: Looks like it will be Hertfo...

Not wishing to be picky ( but I'm going to anyway ) but unless I'm mistaken the "New Rose and Crown" is nowadays the "Worpell" a Greene King house. The Mucky pub is just the "Rose and Crown"

Now that the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight has been joined by a second Lancaster for the summer, does anyone know if we might see them around here? There's nothing programmed locally but might we see them travelling between scheduled flypasts? I don't usually pick up on sightings until it's too...
