Re: Is this the end for WOL?
I used to visit WOL on a daily basis but noticed that most of the links lead to an Error message. My main interest was the Webcam which is no longer available. I have without success contacted Hertfordshire Display and later Keith Ian to try and re establish it but the latter spoke of data protectio...

Re: Ware Webcam
I can only think that Hertfordshire Display had some costs involved in running their webcam (?) and therefore didn't want to carry on. Re: Ware Webcam
Hello all I was hoping to report some good news but I've not even received an acknowledgement to my letter to Keith Ian. Re: Ware Webcam
Hello Andy B. I've edited my post to say that I have spoken with a representative of Keith Ian. They have advised that I write to their Head Office to explain.

Re: Ware Webcam
The legislation surrounding GDPR is confusing and complicated. I can understand why Hertfordshire Display might want to protect themselves and I'd like to believe that they are not keeping any recordings for future usage. But as the man told me, they will not be reinstating it, as and I quote "...

Re: Ware Webcam
Steve, I mentioned the same to him but he was adamant the camera would not be switched back on.

Re: Ware Webcam
Hi Andy. I've done better than that and called them on the phone. A guy called Adam told me that with the introduction of GDPR (protection of data), they were told to take the camera down. No matter of arguing will change their mind. Sorry for the negative response.
