Re: New playing surface at Ware FC

And to answer the other part of your question Andy, it was the chairman who placed the order for the new shirts. Having paid for the new artificial surface that we now have at the ground I guess he felt he could do that. I think most supporters are hoping it is only a year before the stripes come ba...

Re: New playing surface at Ware FC

Andy, the photo is of a sample. The club badge on the chest and league badge for the sleeves will be added in time for Saturday's league opener at Wodson Park.

New playing surface at Ware FC

Ware FC's opening match on their new artificial surface is due this Tuesday (31st). We had hoped to christen the new playing surface with a visit from Football League side Stevenage but delays in completion of the work meant that game had to be cancelled. Re: Excellent blog on Grammar School Policy by Chauncy Head

One of the arguments seems to be that Grammar Schools increase social mobility. Re: Excellent blog on Grammar School Policy by Chauncy Head

An interesting read. I must say I was disappointed to find the PM proposing more grammar schools. Even more so when she, a well educated and intelligent person, trotted out the old and poor argument criticising people who had had the "advantage" of a grammar school education now being oppo...

Re: New Trains and Additional Service at Ware

Good to see more trains per hour though the detail is missing. I am assuming until there is more news that three an hour is in rush-hour periods only. If so that would bring the service back to what it was in the 1960s immediately after electrification. Would be good if it was all day and, for me, S...

A great idea. I hope it goes well and gets good support. Unfortunately too far away for me to participate in person.

Am I right that there were two Rose and crowns on Watton Road?
Yes, the "old" Rose and Crown is at the junction with Fanshawe Crescent and the 395 used to terminate just past it.
