Re: Food Ratings
One of them was dated 2015 wasn't it which I think is unfair to publish that they might have improved by now? But you can request another visit if you have done the improvements. You have to pay for it but it would be worth it if you have done the improvements and can potentially justify a 4 or 5 s...

Re: 101 New Homes for Crane Mead
I would normally love to but I have commitments this Sunday and have to work as well as collect son from D of E. Also, car has a failed alternator and I cannot get a new one, or even a second hand one, so I am a bit stuck until I find a solution. And my third excuse would be that I am not sure my ca...

Re: 101 New Homes for Crane Mead
That is really good news. Although I moved to Hertford 6 years ago, I am still loyal to DJ Rover and use them when I can (2 of our cars are in manufacturers service plans and my third classic cars is niche so some of the work is done by specialists)

Re: Variation of a Scam
My ISP did contact me about 12 years ago as my internet connection was shown to be downloading illegal films. Turned out my Au Pair was unaware that it was illegal here. I suspect it was illegal in their country but maybe not enforced. They contacted me and said that I was breaching their usage poli...

Re: School Parent Governors to be scrapped
I personally find the statement that parent governors don;t know what they're doing extremely offensive. Almost as offensive as the government handing state schools over to commercial chains which, according to Ofsted, drain education cash out of budgets to overpay CEOs and give dividends to shareh...

Re: School Parent Governors to be scrapped
To be honest I am not sure this is a bad idea. I was a parent governor for my son's primary and it became really difficult with what we were expected to do. We had to make pronouncements on things we knew nothing about. I was the finance governor and had to try and run the school's finances with no ...

Re: 101 New Homes for Crane Mead
Sadly I only found out today that the appeal against this plan has been rejected and all the businesses in Crane Mead that are affected by this plan will have to either move or close with loss of employment. Particularly sorry for DJ Rover. As mentioned earlier it is the one in Ware that for me has...

Re: Past Shops in Ware High Street
I moved to [just outside] Ware in 1997 and Woollatt & Coggin was alive and well then. I used to love browsing in the shop that is now occupied by Ernest Aves.

Re: Sainsburys & Dominos Star Street Deliveries
councilors ignoring issues from constituents is nothing new...unless of course its election time. Just want to defend the councillors as my experience was the complete opposite. I had an issue several years ago and was being stonewalled. I contacted my local councillor and he made the parties invol...

Re: Rush Green bridge repairs
Pity - I was hoping they'd be improving the access to McDonald's so that the roundabout was not such a dangerous place to negotiate or attempt to get into the petrol station. I didn't realise the bridge itself was the problem. Last night as I was going round the roundabout, someone came out of the ...
