Re: 50 more houses, is Park Road not busy enough ?
This should not be a war or words, putting forward the other views. Of course, if you were one of the people who came to the meeting in the school who requested more details as you wanted local housing, hoping to move from the flats in Trapstyle to a house or you a parent who would like their child...

Re: 50 more houses, is Park Road not busy enough ?
It appears that the Town Council will be considering the planning application for the housing and the sports hall on Monday. http://www.waretowncouncil.gov.uk/Core/Ware-TC/UserFiles/Files/Agenda%20pack%2026.1.15.pdf makes for interesting reading, with an objection (p20-30) from local residents. Wor...

Re: Fanshawe closing again!
What if Fanshawe closed for good, with Chauncy School selling off land for housing to raise money for a new School Sports Hall, how long will it be before the School sells off Fanshawe pool and gym ? If the new Sports Hall was provided as an extension of the pool and gym it would have been an ideal...

Re: 50 more houses, is Park Road not busy enough ?
I'm very curious why people feel a very small number of houses/flats will present a major problem in terms of traffic when nobody, nobody at all, lodged any objection to the doubling of student numbers at St Catherines as it becomes two form entry - since that development will have a far greater im...

Re: 50 more houses, is Park Road not busy enough ?
One sensible measure would be to make the Watton Road end of Fanshawe Crescent no entry from say 8.30 to 9.15, and the Park Road end the same between 3pm and 6pm. It works in Bengeo for Cross Road. This would make life much harder for the school run drivers and encourage walking by local people. Re...

Re: 50 more houses, is Park Road not busy enough ?
The "currently little used area next to the swimming pool" IS the bit they are proposing to build on - albeit houses rather than the sports hall. As far as I am aware, it has not been used by the school for sports for several years, if not longer - the secluded nature makes it difficult t...
