Re: Whats Happening?
I agree with most of the above - never seem to have time to read/post/engage, but miss reading posts on here and would like to see it continue in whatever form.

Re: Proposed new Bishops Stortford park
Yes I thought Bishops Stortford was the only town in East Hertfordshire and neither Hertford nor Ware seem worthy of any interest. Misguided investment in improving pedestrianised roads where nearly all the shops are empty will not regenerate our dying county town. Cheaper and improved parking and l...

Re: Amwell End
It would be nice if they made use of the river frontage here with a nice eatery/coffee shop.
It would also be nice if someone demolished the old cinema/nightclub and put something useful in there too!

Re: Operation 'Pram'
This is a very contentious issue. As a grandmother pushing my granddaughter I too have to negotiate narrow pavements with wheelie bins and parked vehicles on the pavements. As a driver I also have to negotiate narrow roads where cars are parked both sides (with no readily available alternative) and ...

Removal Company Recommendations?
Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with any of the local removal companies? I have three quotations, but would like to know if there are any recommendations anyone could make please. Equally if anyone has had a bad experience I'd be grateful to know.
Many thanks.

Local Elections
Has anyone received any information from anyone about the election tomorrow? I have absolutely no idea who's standing or what they are promising. It's no wonder people don't both voting any more if the candidates can't even be bothered to let their electorate know about them!

Re: Footpaths are for Pedestrians
I don't necessarily disagree with you, having to negotiate narrow pavements with a buggy is not always easy, but I do also think that sometimes it is nigh on impossible not to block a pedestrian's path. If people didn't park on pavements in some places in Ware or Hertford then roads would be blocked...

Engineered Wood Flooring
Does anyone know of a person who can come and repair my kitchen floor, flooded by a washing machine repair man? I now need to provide his company with two quotations for the repair, and don't know anyone locally. The floor was laid about three years ago and is engineered oak, with underfloor heating...

Re: New playground in Buryfields?
Having two toddling granddaughters another play area will be most welcome - any good excuse to have children playing outside gets my vote, especially if it's toddler friendly - giving them the opportunity to learn and achieve in a safe environment, but I hope they don't take too long to commission i...
