Re: New Trains and Additional Service at Ware

OK, I'll bite... Let's bring seconds into this. (bear with me.) 7:01 and 1 second until 8:01 and 59 seconds is 60 minutes and 58 seconds. If you bring 10ths of seconds into it we get 7:01:00:01 to 8:01:59.9 = 60 minutes, 59.8 seconds. Straying into calculus territory and travelling towards the limit...

Re: Cycling from Hatfield to Ware

13 miles around 17mins. ???
That's 45 mph! I doubt I could drive it that fast.

If your going to exaggerate your level of fitness, you should keep it believable :D

I'll assume its a typo though. If your 9 minute+ video is speeded up x8, you get 1 hour 17 minutes :D

That seems more reaonable

Re: Police & Crime Commissioner Election 2016

The most likely reason is that it meant getting up off the sofa and missing a trashy soap and its easier to let other people worry about such things. I like the other 29% made my view known. And really its a 15 minute walk or less. Its not exactly hard work. No, it's not hard work, but it's a pain ...

they will ask you to go to <URL DELETED> as a web page. DON'T visit the page, just pretend to . They will then ask you to go to <URL DELETED> again don't visit the page, just pretend to . and again claim the page is blocked. Pat-H, please can you amend the above quote as I have suggested. I read it...

Re: Oyster IS coming

This means that when I am in London for up to four days in a week I use Oyster each day as it is 50p per day cheaper than a return ticket. If I am up there all week, I buy a weekly ticket as you cannot put it on your Oyster, and it is cheaper than five dailies using Oyster. Is that really the case?...

Re: Rememberance Service

As Wilfred Owen said, 'Dulce et decorum est.....' Whilst I agree that we should respect those who lost their life (without glorying war), you've chosen a poor example to illustrate this. Wilfred Owen was taking an utterly anti-war stance with this poem. The last two lines are sarcastic. http://www....

Re: Firework Display

You can always make your own in small quantities, for immediate use.

Not a recommendation (because I am sure it's dangerous  ) but pointing out the law from only 10 years ago.

Re: Oyster IS coming

I've not checked that Oyster is valid at Ware yet, but if (when) it is, you need to have read this article: http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/experts/article-2911544/The-contactless-trick-save-money-tube-London-avoid-paying-weekly-travelcard.html The main point is that you can also use contactless ...

Can I just point out that of the 17 (now) times that ukulele is written on this web page, it's only been spelled correctly once!

Leaving my current Windows 7 SSD as a fall back just in case...
Pat-H, just be careful going down this route. The jury is still (I understand) out on whether your existing licence code will be irrevocably updated to W10, leaving your W7 installation un-runnable.
