Re: 1500 new homes for Ware

One of the pledges many years ago was to remove planning red tape and bureaucracy. The claim was it hindered development and added unnecessary cost and delays. Well here we are today. Grenfell was one example of the "improvements" and we now see the other. That red tape was part of the process that ...

Re: ASDA at last but don't forget the local shops.

Its less to do with spiralling rents than to do with the Governments directives to Local councils and politically sympathetic local councils desire to follow those directives. Locally some of our Scout groups face similar issues. Previously low rents are being replaced with commercially calculated ...

Re: ASDA at last but don't forget the local shops.

It's not a commercial property but there's a house in New Road been empty for donkeys years. I call it sleeping beauty's house, I don't understand why that's not occupied. Lovely house The one with the padlocked gate just across the road and to the right as you come out of King Edwards road? That l...

Re: ASDA at last but don't forget the local shops.

Re: Whats Happening?

The few times a year I consider posting on WOL I struggle to workout which section it should be, certain in the knowledge that if I get it wrong I'll get berated online. So if in doubt I just don't. I doubt what you say Pat as the worst that would happen is a Mod would place the post in the correct...

Re: 1500 new homes for Ware

Well part of the problem is we elected in a government committed to reducing red tape.
Needless obstructions to businesses and developers.
We will now see just how that plays out.
We've seen the more tragic results of removing red tape very recently.

Re: Whats Happening?

I sadly agree. I think this style of forum isn't the way forward. FB is popular because the moderation is behind the scenes and not actioned by active participants. I think people prefer a more fluid evolving way to communicate and that's why they move that way. I think even if people tried WOL they...

Just taken delivery of a sofa bed from Dean's.
Couldn't help but comment on the prominent label on it.
