What would be the point of that? The money could be better spent on real improvements!

Re: Obnoxious Exercise Class at Allenbury's this Morning

I really cannot understand why this thread was started. But then this has become Whingeonline not Wareonline! Some people at Glaxos were having a perfectly reasonable exercise class (aerobics, whatever). As a lot of people work full time Monday to Friday, the weekend is the only time they are able t...

Re: ASDA work started

The entrance/exit on Watton Road is a T junction with no traffic lights currently planned. The original plan was for a roundabout, which would have been much more practical but it was Highways who insisted that it be changed to a T junction - a dubious decision at best! This will, as suggested, make...

Local price of stamps

I went into Watton Stores last Saturday to buy the stamps for our Christmas cards. I bought a large number of second class stamps and discovered as I left the shop that I had been charged 60p each. I am sure this thread will be revived again soon as we are nearing Christmas and I expect Fanshawe to be unreasonably closing over this fe...

Re: Boarded up Flats, Gladstone Road

If I remember correctly, someone correct me if I am wrong, those flats were originally sheltered accomodation for the elderly. Then later, the University of Hertfordshire took them over and they were housing, possibly halls of residence, for students. They have been empty for a long time now, a few ...

Re: Carnival July 5th

Really sorry I cannot help out this year! I look forward to the carnival and fun day but my son's stag weekend is also that weekend in Edinburgh. It's a dirty job but someone's gotta do it!

Re: Front Door

I echo Ian's comments (in fact it was me that recommended Hertford Glass to Ian)!

They did a superb job fitting our front door and new side windows. That was a few years ago and still looks and functions as new.
