Re: Faulty Traffic Lights on High Oak Road Roadworks

They have been fixed overnight - maybe my second call to National Grid did provoke some action. Now just have to hope they fill the holes in soon!

Faulty Traffic Lights on High Oak Road Roadworks

I phoned National Grid yesterday afternoon to report the faulty traffic lights at the road works on High Oak Road (using the 0800 number shown on the site signs). I reported the red light failed at the uphill end, plus the green light failed at the Collett Road end. I was told that they would send a...

Re: Wine Lodge

To put prices into context, last time I bought San Miguel in the Worpell I think it was about £4.50 a pint. A pints a pint, but stick a foreign brand on it and it's a "premium" brand - even if it is brewed in Northampton!

Re: Street life.com

Someone must see it as a way to earn a few quid. "In established areas we do generate a small amount of revenue from local businesses" - so wait for the direct marketing to start. Their website says they are linked to Archant - who I think own (or owned) the free 'Star' newspaper amongst m...

Re: Ware Household Waste Recycling Centre

Looking at the closure days list on the council website, it think they have tried to vary the closure days so that when one site is closed there is a nearby alternative. Cole Green and Hoddesdon both shut Tuesday and Wednesday so are open on Thursday and Friday when Ware is shut. Another useful bit ...

Re: Christmas Lights - Town Council Consultation

Follow the link to the Town Council website in the original post and download and return the simple consultation document. For what it's worth, I'm with Wareite1969, and would rather keep what we have. I think they are very effective, and although many years old (retro!) I think this is part of thei...

Re: 50 more houses, is Park Road not busy enough ?

Not quite! Chauncy are selling off a piece of land that borders on to Park Road - between the swimming pool and Trapstyle Road. This is at the bottom of the hill below the playing field and not (as far as I know) ever used for sport. The money raised will fund the building of a new sports hall at th...
