Re: New Trains and Additional Service at Ware
I might be wrong, it was a long time ago. I seemed to remember a train every fifteen minutes, but I could well be wrong.

Re: New Trains and Additional Service at Ware
In the days before privatisation we had trains every 15 minutes in rush hour, and a fast train to Liverpool Street in the mornings and one home again in the evenings. Until a train company beats that level of service nothing counts as 'improvement'. Oh, and in those days you could call the station a...

Re: Ware - No Place for Hate - Tudor Square, 30 June
So glad that so many people came out. John Wing told me he counted 300 in the square :-) So proud of Ware tonight, and yes, no disruptive behaviour which could possibly have happened. But we have only had two negative comments on Facebook where people are not shy. So, we are walking in the Carnival ...

Thanks for the support Bluebot. The Mayor will be with us, and we have a good message of support from Mark Prisk to read out. Looking forward to a good event.

Ware - No Place for Hate - Tudor Square, 30 June
profilepicturewinpfh.jpg Dear All I was in a charity shop yesterday when I heard a woman saying she had to vote leave to 'stop all the darkies coming over here' and bringing crime with them. This came after a couple of days of hearing of a wave of racist threats to EU citizens, assaults, graffiti i...

Re: School Parent Governors to be scrapped
I personally find the statement that parent governors don;t know what they're doing extremely offensive. Almost as offensive as the government handing state schools over to commercial chains which, according to Ofsted, drain education cash out of budgets to overpay CEOs and give dividends to shareho...

We won't get an incinerator, that is probably going to be inflicted on Hoddesdon if anywhere at all. So protest away!

Re: Ware to lose the nearest 24hr supermarket
JCB - downmarket in the sense that they pile it high and sell it cheap with no frills at all. They don;t do deliveries so people have to go to them if they want to shop there. There was no value judgement involved, that was your own prejudices surfacing.

Re: Ware to lose the nearest 24hr supermarket
They're phasing this kind of shopping out as they lose money on it. just as they're reducing the number of supermarket sites around the country. Delivery shopping grows in popularity exponentially t the moment, it's destroying store footfall. The number of supermarket sites will continue to shrink. ...

Re: Proposed Incinerator
It only got through on the Chair's vote breaking a tie. If they have the support of the MP to turn down the proposal it won;t get through planning. There are apparently Veolia documents from a few years ago listing reasons the site is completely unsuitable, as they wanted at that time to build in Ha...
