Like others I too have been pleasantly surprised by the Waterside Inn. We have been there a few times for lunch as a family, complete with dog (so sat outside) prices reasonable, food of good quality (for a pub) and decent service even when we were the only people sitting outside. Went past this evening and the old boookshop seems to be fitting out as a hair and beauty type place.

Maybe not what the High Street is crying out for, but better than an empty shop I guess, and what some one is willing to put their money into opening.

Another ridiculous planning decision for Ware. They seem to have a real anti-Waitrose agenda. In a free-market economy, why seek to protect Tesco in Ware. It's dire and doesn't deserve protection. And more than likely will morph into a Tesco Metro at some stage anyway. I am pretty sure this is not ...

Recieved our first 2015 election leaflet yesterday! It was from the Labour party who from what I can recall made little to no effort here last election, it is/was one of the safest Tory seats in the country. Leads me to wonder in they think it is now not so safe, is Hertford & Stortford the kind...
