The town council seem determined to bring itself in to disrepute.

Following the mayor's cancellation of a council meeting, it appears that the feud between two councillors is still on.

You can. If you click on the date a timeline will appear and you can choose past Streetview pictures. However, for locations like this the choice is limited.

I think they still have a place in specialised fields, especially technical. Product support forums are still popular, as is the like of PPRUNE, Mumsnet and Stackoverflow. However, locally based forums do struggle to get a critical mass.
