Following a huge quote from a separate recommendation, I texted all three of the plasterers recommended in the WoL post two years ago. All three replied!

The first was too busy, but called me to say so and to apologise! Very impressed.
The second offered to come round on a day I could not make, but stayed in touch. Impressed, again.
The third came over to review the job, made a sensible quote and starts Monday.

The original guy then offered to drop his huge quote by 20%, but was still 33% over the other quote. Told him I always go with first quotes.

Interesting.

Following the advice on here we used Steve Baker MOB : 07799268716 to plaster our loft conversion.

Job turned out to be more complicated than we'd originally expected but Steve sorted it all out for a good price and did a really 1st class job. The plastering is really smooth and great.

Anyone whos recently spoken to Steve re Plastering work can you call him as he recently lost his phone and the contact info it contained.
He knows he has a couple of people waiting for him to return a call but doesn't have their numbers.
So please call him again.
