You do know that your car insurance will arrange it for free, and its not a claim?

Yes but I've checked and we're responsible for the first £75 but worth double maybe

mel check carefully - most car policies are £75 towards windscreen replacement and Nil for windscreen repair. The insurance companies encourage you to get cracked windscreens repaired quickly because it usually avoids a windscreen replacement a few weeks later ...

Thanks. I'm pretty sure it's £75.00 excess. I'm a 'stitch in time' person so would rather pay and get it repaired now but my husband is the other way inclined! :D
