As I said, no problem if you have a smaller car, you can park so as not to block the road or pavement, the problem is people with too large cars and 4x4s (you really need them on HOR) also works vans. If you can't park safely then your car is too big. The view seems to be buy the car you want and then see if you can park it (next door ended up selling their huge 4x4)

Pedestrians! do people with kids walk these days?

We used to run the walking bus to St Mary's, gave up in the end as our child was the only one using it - half way we used to pass a woman putting her child in the car, saw her trying to park outside the school and then I passed her again putting the car away on the way back.

Kerb parking affects us poor pensioners as well. We can't all afford cars, so we either have to walk or take a bus if one is available.
