You would only have a lot more to spend if you actually sold your house..........seems a bit drastic just to shop at Waitrose :?

Now I do, it's just been given permission for housing (and a vet surgery)

But will the EH Planners allow a 40,000 sqft out of town store? That's a big shop, I thought these were frowned on nowadays.
Or will Great Amwell now be called a town for planning purposes?! ;)
Could always rename it "North Hoddesdon"

no it's not - they price match all grocery items directly with Tesco!

No they don't and only on branded items Excluding Promotions.

So if a Branded item @ Tesco is on promotion at half price, Waitrose will not price match! A bit pointless really.

Well I was quite happy with my 3 for £10 meat deal and BOGOF Coca Cola and stocked up on loads of half price cleaning stuff!

There's a half page piece in the March edition of Axis magazine about the proposal with a suggested 2015 date (which I guess at this stage is just a back of an envelope date). I also wondered whether the miniature railway would stay where it is or be re-located. A train transfer between stores?!

That's good news but will this still happen whilst negotiations are ongoing?

Got a leaflet through the door this morning advertising a public exhibition at Van Hage's on March 28 and 29 for the Waitrose proposal. they are intending to build the Waitrose alongside the VH building at the end away from the road. It says 100 jobs will be created. £12,000 and 250 staff working hours will be donated each year to local causes.
