Zoological Gardens?

It seems that the 'petting zoo' at Van Hage's has transformed into a Zoological Gardens, with new animals and admission charges.

Has anyone been to the new attraction, how does it compare to what used to be there?

The old walkabout animal area is still there. The 'zoo' is an addition. From what I can gather it's not good value for money, time will tell.

Perhaps I missed it, but no where on the website did I see any indication of an admission charge? Out of interest what is it?

I can't remember in truth but I remember walking up to it expecting it to be free as per the other 'zoo' and being gobsmacked, 20 quid for a family of four may be in the ballpark I think, enough for me not to pay! I can't see it continuing at such a price. I'm one who does buy van hage bits and pieces so if I'm not buying them then who will?

On Van Hague's Animal Gardens page, they're at pains to point out: "Our Animal Gardens is a FREE licensed zoo".

The Ventura zoo does appear to be completely separate - and yes, pricey!
