Vacancy - Clerk to the Ware Charities Trust

Post by Scottman »

Important Volunteer role: Clerk to the Trustees of The Ware Charities

Can you spare some time each week? Would you be able to support a Ware charity providing almshouse accommodation and financial grants to local people as well as support to local organisations which relieve need, hardship and distress?

The Ware Charities trustees are looking for a volunteer to join the management team, in the role of Clerk to the Trustees, from September 2019.

The role includes :
• Arranging the quarterly trustee meetings, drafting agendas and writing minutes
• Liaising and co-ordinating with professionals and suppliers in the management and maintenance of the Charity’s few property assets
• Progress chasing on actions arising from meetings, and liaising with the trustees and chair.
• Maintaining the records of the Charities

This is an important and worthwhile role at the heart of an established local charity. It would suit someone with strong admin skills, basic IT competence and ideally some experience or involvement with charity governance.

The role is voluntary and unpaid, though in recognition of the requirements of the role an small annual honorarium is usually voted by the trustees.

If you think you could help us, and would like to know more, please contact the current Clerk, Roger Hawkins on 07736673899 or r.hawkins474@btinternet.com
