Trinity Mirror are closing their last office in Hertfordshire and moving staff to Chelmsford. I'm sure they'll do a great job of covering the "local news" from there.

Its been the same here with the Nelson Mail going from a daily paper to just three times a week and with reduced pages this highlights the importance of sites such as Ware Online where everyone can be a reporter spreading the local news.

Sad isn't it. The Herts Mercury covers the whole of Herts all the way out to Hemel. So basing the physical office out on the Essex coast and not even in the same county is ridiculous.

Make all the journos work from home and telecommute.
