Hertford RFC v Tonbridge Juddain RFC

Post by Andy B »

Extreme conditions must have played a part in this game as I'm informed that kickoff was in monsoon conditions! Hertford seemed to have made the better of the heavy weather and took and early lead with a penalty and when half time came up they were 10 - 8 up. Tunbridge did not give up and the score to part and close with penalties on both sides but with ten minutes to go Hertford were just a try in front so a tense time but they held out to a 16 - 11 win over the second placed side in the league.
Tunbridge hold onto their second place and Hertford move up to sixth and only a singe point off the two teams above them.

Next week Hertford travel away for the best supported away game of the season when they visit Guernsey who reside in seventh place in the league just two points less than Hertford so to maintain there league position and increase their away record balance a win is required.

Kickoff 3 pm.
