It's that time of year again !

Just seen the de haviland Rapide and another unidentified aircraft flying south across ware.

Saw them as well, the Rapide is easy to identify, but like you, I couldn't say what the other aircraft was, other than it was a low wing mono-plane of a similar vintage to the Rapide. Coincidentally, a Dragon Rapide was the first aircraft I flew in, some sixty odd years ago. 8-)

I took the Rapide flight from Duxford in 2008 which went up the Lea Valley to south of the river then up to Westminster and back most enjoyable and slow!
Ware looked great and lots of places to pick out along the way if you have recently seen it I assume they are still doing them?
I believe its based in Norfolk.
