Flying around this afternoon over the Bourne. A Red Kite I think.

I never get bored of seeing them, we recently had five over our house.

Don't think it's aRed Kite, they have a distinctive fork in the tail like this:-

It seems to have the colouring of a Kite would a juvenal have a less pronounced V in its tail?

It certainly looks like a Red Kite without the "V" tail, so I looked it up and Juveniles can have what looks like a straight tail. So I think that's definitely what it is. We often see a pair of them circling in our area (never been too sure what they find to eat though).

They're getting very common in the area now, we see them a lot. Majestic birds, lovely to see.
