Refuse Site Xmas Hours

Hi,

The website is slightly misleading (as below) I think if you need to go to the tip, it's definitely shut today. Just tried a visit.

Hours:
Monday (Boxing Day) 8am–4pm Hours might differ
Tuesday (Christmas Day (Observed)) 8am–4pm Hours might differ
Wednesday 8am–4pm
Thursday Closed
Friday Closed
Saturday 8am–4pm
Sunday (New Year's Day) 8am–4pm Hours might differ

The whole thing about opening hours is a great way of punishing people who are trying to do the right thing. Doubt I'm the only one who has noted a considerable increase in dumping by roadsides around here

Yup. There's a lot more rubbish around for sure. I took loads of stuff to the site yesterday. It was completely empty. The lull before people start dumping their xmas trees there en masse.

Closed today 1st Jan. No notices on gate when next open.

I added that it was closed on the 1st to clarify the original post that stated "Sunday (New Year's Day) 8am–4pm Hours might differ"
Which implied it was open.
In the hope that it would save others having to drive up to confirm the position.
Can't see why confirmation of the dates couldn't have been put on the gates.
