Received the following e-mail today:

Dear,

Thank you for your message of 25 March, addressed to Abellio Greater Anglia, regarding issues with the track just before Southbury station on the line out of London. Your message was passed by Abellio Greater Anglia to us as Network Rail is responsible for issues relating to the track.

After a number of recent bridge strikes between Edmonton Green and Southbury the track quality was suffering. Although passengers would have noticed this on their journeys, the safety of the track was not affected. In order to bring the track back up to normal standard our engineers have carried out overnight engineering works at this location.

Thank you again for your message and I hope that you have now noticed an improvement in your journey. Please be assured that safety continues to be paramount to Network Rail. However, we do recognise the concerns raised by passengers travelling in this area.

Yours sincerely,
