Let's hope they do less damage to the town and breach less conditions of operation than their builders have in recent weeks. Let's certainly hope they treat the town with less contempt.

When I attended the presentation they said that they'd be making provision for the shop over the road, probably in the form of an unloading bay which doesn't seem to be happening, and I've noticed several contractors parking in Canons Road and they said that they's take steps to stop staff parking in residential roads...Time will tell.

Their contractors have been parked every single day in Park Rd, Fanshawe Crescent (causing absolute chaos in both morning and evening), as well as Croft Rd and Canons Rd. They've had heavy lorries using Fanshawe Crescent and getting stuck, in breach of road signs. the last time it happened I called the Police who helpfully attended Fanshawe Close in Hertford and found no problem, called me back and left a message hoping it wasn't fanshawe Crescent in Ware they should have gone to as that would have been bad!! the contractors even managed to cut off electricity for half the town last week on Friday night for a couple of hours. Their building operation has been an absolute disgrace. So far, the impact on our corner of the town has been dreadful, and ASDA have not given the slightest sign they care one little bit.

All ASDA care about is making a profit for themselves and their shareholders.

Has anyone reported these issues to Planning Enforcement? Looks like even the Mercury couldn't even get a comment from the council.

The Owner of the Convenience Store has had approval to convert part of the shop to a Fish & Chip Shop ( hope to be up and running within 6 months) and he has also asked for 6 parking bays out front.

Thanks for this. Surely it would have been logical to do whilst they changed the road layout.
