18th April Ware V Soham Town Rangers

Post by kevin phillips bong »

Ware play their last home game of their fine season v Soham Town Rangers in this Ryman League Div.1 North match @ Wodson @ 3pm tomorrow. Ware sit in 9th (should be higher, but too many matches drawn) and STR sit in 12th.

Ware 0 Soham 1, poor performance against a poor team, typical end of season unimportant game!

Still you must be happy overall with the season in the sense that a solid mid-table placing having flirted with play-offs is way way different to the desperate struggles against relegation in recent years.

Absolutely spot on mb1. This season was all about stability which its proved to be; it is after all the new managements team 1st full season. Far too early to go up but...... we've drawn far too many matches plus our two real star players Keiron Bishop and Albert Adu both left for pastures new in January and players like that are virtually impossible to replace; if we'd kept them we probably would have made the play-offs.
So all in all a very good season especially as we try to play football 'the correct way' - hopefully we'll be better next year

Spot on KPB, when I saw the style of play from Harlow (they really must give Bobby Gould his Wimbledon of the mid 80's coaching manual back ;) ) I'd rather see Ware in mid table but playing the right way.
