Draft District Plan

Looking through the East herts draft plan linked in the first post I was I suppose not surprised to see that they managed to show a picture of the Hertford War Memorial as one of the typical views of Ware on the introduction page of Chapter 9(Ware) Makes you wonder what else in that report is accurate

This is mentioned six posts above. Makes you wonder what other posts you haven't read

The areas highlighted for new housing are to the north and east of Ware, ie the opposite directions to Hertford and London. This is possibly bad news for the rugby club.

Sorry Stevem, but why is expansion to the North and East bad news for the Rugby Club?

Because the Rugby Club are south of the town and want to sell the site for development.

I doubt it will affect the club too much as they have been planning this for some time so would be surprised if they weren't aware.

I didn't think the Rugby Club owned the land which was why they were moving up the road.

For at least one hundred years Hertfordshire has played host to continuous London overspill, pillaged, plundered and ransacked of its green and open countryside in favour of unfettered housing development, unrestrained settlement & urban sprawl and the loss of many buildings and houses which today would be protected by listings. EHC District plan once read may well induce a catatonic coma but the district must only accept its concept on the proviso that under no circumstances do we accept the dwelling target numbers! These, their type number and yearly allocation we only accept at the districts residents’ discretion, in this our “Theoretical Democracy”. Herts has already done its bit !

??? What are you on about? Essex got the worst of the London overspill especially aroun Waltham Forest which is now really just a woods.
