Sorry too busy looking at the plans, must admit I didn't read all of the other posts, I went to the link in the first post and spent quite some time going through the draft plan, then posted my commentSteve wrote:This is mentioned six posts above. Re: Draft District Plan
Sorry Stevem, but why is expansion to the North and East bad news for the Rugby Club?Steve wrote:The areas highlighted for new housing are to the north and east of Ware, ie the opposite directions to Hertford and London. This is possibly bad news for the rugby club.

Because the Rugby Club are south of the town and want to sell the site for development.Ian wrote:Sorry Stevem, but why is expansion to the North and East bad news for the Rugby Club?Steve wrote:The areas highlighted for new housing are to the north and east of Ware, ie the opposite directions to Hertford and London. Re: Draft District Plan
I doubt it will affect the club too much as they have been planning this for some time so would be surprised if they weren't aware.

I didn't think the Rugby Club owned the land which was why they were moving up the road.Ian wrote:Ah, I see Is that what would be called an own goal in the other game?Steve wrote:Because the Rugby Club are south of the town and want to sell the site for development.
Re: Draft District Plan
For at least one hundred years Hertfordshire has played host to continuous London overspill, pillaged, plundered and ransacked of its green and open countryside in favour of unfettered housing development, unrestrained settlement & urban sprawl and the loss of many buildings and houses which today would be protected by listings. EHC District plan once read may well induce a catatonic coma but the district must only accept its concept on the proviso that under no circumstances do we accept the dwelling target numbers! These, their type number and yearly allocation we only accept at the districts residents’ discretion, in this our “Theoretical Democracy”. Herts has already done its bit !
