Interesting that this has generated little or no interest. From what I can see, this proposal is the council's answer to the infrastructure problems that would result from 3000 extra houses - see http://www.hertsdirect.org/services/tra ... 1/faqa602/ for their explanation.

I can only see this as a waste of 24 million pounds and I really can't see taking a few bends off corners and making roundabouts bigger will help traffic flow, which as the council already admit is over capacity now.

Is everyone happy with 24 million quid of your money to pay for this? That's just under 24 pounds of *your* council tax for this project.

With works not due to start until 2018 anyway.

Knowing how these things usually go add a couple of years to that.
