Hertford RFC v Chichester RFC

Post by Andy B »

The last home game of 2016 has brought Christmas cheer to Hoe Lane as Hertford put on a strong performance.
A delayed start as Chichester were held up on the M25 and the match started and within a short tim Hertford were knocking the penalties between the posts Chichester not to be pushed out of the game replied like wise till a converted try stretched the lead to to 10 - 3. Chichester must have been getting frustrated as they two players binned by half time where the score remained at 10 - 3. The second half gets underway with Hertford kicking into the winding two unconverted try's bring up the 20 points to 3 and once again Hertford score and convert to bring up 27 - 3 and the bonus point. Chichester get on the board again with a cross field kick, catch to increase their tally to 8 but Hertford reply with two try's converting one to close the match with a six try haul and a 39 - 8 scoreline. Hertford remain in sixth position and have a three point gap to Guernsey below them and two points to Shelford above them.

Next weekend is the final game of 2015, away to Wimbledon who are two places and ten points below Hertford.

Kickoff 3 pm.
