A home win last year in convincing fashion opens the chances of a double over Colchester with the match starting with an easy pen for Hertford to take the lead which did not last long with Colchester coming back with a try but Hertford were not to be put off and by half time had a 10 - 15 lead. The second half started badly for Hertford with a yellow card but it never stopped their progress to a 10 - 34 final score and a bonus point. This brings Hertford up to fourth on the same points as fifth placed Westcombe Park with just three games left of the season.
Next week brings a big game to Hoe Lane where Hertford welcome London Irish Wild Geese who are currently 20 points in front of Hertford on top of the league and six points clear of second placed Tonbridge Juddian. Back in December Hertford won a very close away game so this maybe one to go see. Kickoff 3 pm.
