Just went to UCC at QEII and my advice is never, ever go there on the weekend under any circumstances. go to an A and E. They have no doctor on duty. The hospital is essentially shut meaning they have no access to x-ray, scans or any diagnostic equipment of any kind. There are two nurses on duty. If they can't handle something they send you to the out of hours G across the site who will prescribe painkillers or advise you to go to A and E. There is nothing else there at the weekend. It is a complete waste of space. :(
