Rugby World Cup in Ware

Post by Hillsider »

We have had the first weekend of the World Cup - full of gritty wins, hard tackling, outright trouncings and shock results!

So....

Which is the best pub in Ware to watch the Rugby?

I was fortunately in the Crooked Billet after watching Ware beat Uxbridge 2 0 in footi in a brilliant skilful performance by Ware. So saw 50 mins of Japs v SA - it didn't really matter ware you would have watched it as it was one of the best live TV sports I've seen in many a year ie you would have enjoyed it in a right grot hole not that we have any in Ware.
High Oak is pro rugby but does get rammed - beauty of The Billet is that with 2 bars Stuart will often have 2 different matches on but on Saturday the whole pub ended up watching the magnificent spectacle from Brighton unravel.
